During the first weeks of first grade we will be learning classroom and school rules. We are establishing daily rountines and meeting new friends.
Snack: Please make sure your child brings a healthy snack each day to school. Please send a water bottle with a "pop up" top to school each Monday. Water bottles will be sent home each Friday for washing. Homework: Our homework focus is on word family spelling patterns. Homework is sent home each Monday. All homework is due on Friday. The spelling test will be each Friday and will include the word family word list as well as the five sight words for the week. Monthly reading calendars are sent home at the beginning of each month and are due the following month. Folders: Please check your child's folder each day. Remove any papers that have been sent home and please sign the behavior chart. It's going to be a great year! May/June NewsMay 11-22: PALS Testing
